What's the best way to get to Accra from London?

Direct flights from London Heathrow and London Gatwick are available via British Airways.

KLM, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Brussels Airlines, TAP Portugal, Qatar Airways and Air Maroc also fly to Accra daily. These can take a bit longer, but can be more budget friendly.

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving by Tuesday 31st March so that you have time to settle in, enjoy Accra and join us for our welcome party on Wednesday evening.

If you don't mind missing our welcome party (or coming straight from the airport) feel free to arrive on Wednesday 1st April. Most flights to Accra depart from London in the morning, and land between 6pm - 8pm with the exception of TAP Portugal which departs at 6am and arrives around 2pm.

3

Do I need a visa to visit Ghana?

If you have an ECOWAS passport, you do not need a visa. Citizens of Jamaica, South Africa, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Uganda, and Zimbabwe can also enjoy visa-free entry for 60 days. Please double check online!

If you have a British or US passport only, we recommend applying for a visa at least 2 months in advance to avoid panic. Please visit the Ghana High Commission (UK) / Ghana Embassy (US) websites for the latest information. For emergencies, there is a visa on arrival options however this is much more expensive.

4

Do I have to stay in one of the apartments?

Absolutely not!

We've blocked these rooms to make your trip (and our logistics) easier. We would love for you to stay there but if you'd prefer to stay in a hotel or you've found a better apartment on AirBnB, please do!

5

Will there be a dress code?

There will be suggested dress codes for each day. Please visit the 'Wedding Dates' page for guidance.

6

Will I have time to explore Ghana?

We hope our wedding weekend will allow you to experience the buzz and beauty of Accra. We recommend arriving a few days earlier and/or leaving a few days later if you want to explore other areas in Ghana.

We can recommend places and connect you with tour guides and a driver.

7

Is Accra safe?

Accra is one of the safest cities in Africa, especially in the areas we’ll be celebrating in. It's much safer than London (no robberies on electric bikes lol). As with any travel, stay aware of your surroundings, use common sense and trusted transportation.

Ghanaian hospitality is second to none, you’ll feel warmly welcomed wherever you go.

8

Can I bring my children?

Whatever works for you! We'd love for you to have adult fun, but completely understand that childcare is expensive - especially during the Easter Holidays. In short, kids are welcome. If you require a trusted babysitting / nanny service for your trip, just let us know!

9

Where are the best areas to stay?

Airport Residential, Ridge, Cantonments, Labone, Dzorwulu, Shiashie and Osu are all areas we recommend.

10

Do you have a registry?

Oh, how lovely of you to ask!
